Celebrate You

Jacquelyn A. Cook-Kyle | Texas’ 50+ Beauty Queen

We routinely feature women who are fifty-plus and beautiful! Last time, we featured the beautiful Joe Freeman, a Texas native. Now allow us to introduce you to another Texan beauty, Jacquelyn Cook-Kyle. Let’s get acquainted with Jacquelyn and how she stays fabulous after fifty.

  1. How much exercise do you do?
I practice a daily morning regimen of stretching motions, and recently I began yoga exercises twice a week. I continue to love dancing!

  1. What do you eat on a daily basis?
I maintain a daily diet of fresh vegetables and fruit, yogurt, water, juice, and fish or chicken.

  2. How do you hydrate yourself?
I rehydrate with aromatherapy, long hot baths, quiet time, reading, writing, and listening to the music on my playlist.

  1. How much sleep a night?
Generally, I sleep about nine hours each night.

  2. Do you socialize with friends, family, or other social networks?
I have a rich social life; I spend quality time and maintain relationships with multi-generational family members and friends across the world.

  3. What do you use on your skin or face?
I use natural soap with lukewarm water and pure African Shea Butter on my skin.

  1. Do you believe it's important to stay balanced?
Yes. I believe that staying balanced centers your life and provides a launching pad to good mental, spiritual, and physical health.

  2. What advice can you offer our readers on staying healthy and beautiful?
I would say that if you aspire to do something new, you should dream to be different and don’t be afraid to try it. Start now! Don’t just talk about it, be about it. Do your research. Emerge from the shackles in your mind. Free yourself, leave the cocoon, and begin to fly. Join me, for I am free. I see the world, and the world sees me. I believe that for however long the beauty of this life lasts, we should let the beauty of this time be.

  3. Do you work for corporate America or are you self-employed?
I’m an educator, doctoral student, and freelance artist.

  4. How old are you?
    I am fifty-two years young.
